Join Sonia for a workshop on building personal safety and situational awareness.
You will receive guidance and tools for how to stay safe in your space & within your daily routine:
– Powerful Body Language
– Managing your Personal Space
– Effective use of your Voice
– De-escalatory Verbal Techniques
– Introduction of Physical techniques (Against Common Holds/Grabs)
– Introduction to common blocks, strikes and kicks
The simple vision is for each individual to walk away with the core belief they are entitled to; that they have the necessary resources within to assert themselves, stay safe and in control. This event is tailored for women and gender diverse individuals.
About the teacher: Based in Nairobi, Sonia Bhandari runs a company by the name of Strength, Resilience & Balance ltd. She provides One on One & Group Coaching, Resilience and Empowerment Workshops to individuals, organizations, and groups. Sonia is passionate about imparting the essential tools that keep women safe as they navigate their daily world. Her passion for women’s empowerment has taken her to California, New York, Johannesburg and Maryland to learn how these tools are taught.
In addition to the above, she is a Certified Wellness Life Coach, Positive Psychology Coach, NLP Life Coach and a Life Coach Trainer. As a Coach, she is dedicated to providing a safe space for her clients to embrace a resilient mindset, set positive boundaries and explore their inner workings.

This event will be held at Acacia House, here is a pin to our location: Google Maps. We are located on Farasi Lane, just off Ngecha Road and behind Kabete Junior Academy. Our usual hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am – 5pm, and 11-4pm on Saturdays.
The cost per person is 4,800/-. Spaces are limited, so please RSVP below. Payment will be accepted onsite at the class, via cash or mpesa to the teacher directly.
