Repair Cafe

Join us for this free community event where volunteers will help you fix and alter your clothes, using simple sewing skills and provided tools. We promote a sustainable approach by teaching “how-to” repair skills, reducing textile waste, and fostering community connections through a do-it-together spirit.

We welcome you to bring 1-2 pieces of your favorite clothing items that are in need of some TLC, and learn from the volunteer repair coaches, who will be on hand to guide you through the process of repairing, visible mending and upcycling your garment.

We will have embroiderers, sewists and knitters on hand to help share ideas and tips on how to repair your clothing.  If the repair is more complex or large scale, we can offer a cost consultation on the next steps. Donations are appreciated to keep the cafe sustainable.
