Natural Dye Workshop

Explore the world of natural dyes on wool yarn, and reveal a palette of colors from plant-based dyes, such as onion skins, succulents, flowers and avocado pits.
Learn the essentials of transferring colors found in plants onto yarn, with a focus on locally-found plants and vegetables. We will cover the basics of natural dyeing: fiber preparation and mordanting, sourcing dyes, the various steps involved in preparing and working with a natural dyebath, safe dyeing practices, keeping records of dye experiments and other tips for dyeing with plants and other natural materials.
SIGN UP:
1,500/- per person, attendees will take home some mordant and a beautiful skein of our Rift Valley Yarn, to experiment with your own dye baths at home.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Your space in the class is only confirmed upon payment. Refunds will not be possible, but we will allow you to reschedule your session up to a maximum of two times, based on availability.
