For one day only, we are hosting a popup showcasing a curated selection from the MADE51  Collection. The work is handcrafted by refugee artisans across Africa. Each piece reflects the continent’s rich craft traditions — from intricate Sudanese beading to refined Malian metalwork — and embodies the resilience and creativity of refugees who rebuild their lives through craft.

Over 122 million people have been forcibly displaced across the world, driven from their homes by war, persecution or disaster. Amongst this vast group of people, there are incredible artisans that possess the talent, culture and heritage to create objects of true beauty. Products that can fill our homes with life and joy.

MADE51 is a global brand launched by UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, that connects these artisans with an ecosystem of partners who support the design, development and marketing of the unique products that make up the MADE51 collection. We currently work with 3,400+ artisans in 23 countries, in collaboration with a network of 38 social enterprise partners. Over 90% of the artisans are women who support an estimated 16,000+ beneficiaries. Through MADE51, those who have been forced to flee have an opportunity to earn an income while in the midst of displacement. For consumers, these pieces are more than beautiful examples of craftsmanship and heritage, they are expressions of hope.
