A Grief Workshop

30 May @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

The mother wound is grief.. even when there is no death, even when it is complicated, even when you have never had the words for it until now.

This workshop is for anyone grieving their mother: whether she has died and the relationship was complex, whether she is alive but was never quite there, whether you are estranged or navigating distance, or whether you are grieving the mother you needed and didn’t get. It is also for those doing reparenting work, breaking generational cycles, or simply carrying something they have never had space to put down.

Facilitated by Melissa Kioko, Licensed Psycholotherapist and founder of Mindful Psychotherapy Services, this is a small, in-person, therapist-led space that draws on attachment theory and somatic grief practices. The session includes psychoeducation on the mother wound as a form of grief, breathwork and somatic grounding, a guided expressive arts activity, and structured reflective prompts; all held within a confidential, supportive group setting.

This workshop does not require resolution or forgiveness. It simply creates space for a grief that rarely gets one.
